Admission Process
1- The student should fill out the application form for non-Iranian students in the International Student Admission System at admission.put.ac.ir.
2- The applicant should send their application along with the completed form and the original copy of their academic degree, its valid translation in English or Persian, as well as their transcript, course description, and identity document (passport, ID card, and personal photo) to the International Deputy Office's email address at [international@put.ac.ir]. The documents should be stamped and approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the respective country.
• Non-Iranian students who are in their last semester of study are obliged to submit a letter of commitment to complete their previous course and have a valid proof of their ability to pay the tuition fees.
• The number of bridging courses is based on the university's educational regulations (up to 12 credits and obtaining an average score of 12 in the undergraduate level, 14 credits in the master's level, and 15 credits in the doctoral level).
• Admission is valid for one academic semester. If the student cannot complete the final registration in that semester for any reason (except graduation in the previous level), their registration in the next semester will require coordination and agreement again.
• For registration after obtaining approval from the university, the applications must register their application in the [portal.saorg.ir] system (the Qualification System of the Organization of Non-Iranian Students) and receive a tracking code. Then, they must send the code to the Foreign Students' Admission Office by correspondence and make sure that their documents are complete and correct.
• Applicants who are currently studying in other higher education institutions or universities in Iran are not allowed to apply.
• The Educational Department will examine the applicant's application for a higher level before the completion of their studies conditionally.
• The applicant's passport must be valid for at least six months. Non-Iranian citizens living in Iran must present a valid residence card.
Age Requirement
- Applicants must meet the following age requirements when applying to study in the universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran:
• Maximum 22 years for high school diploma holders to apply for undergraduate programs
• Maximum 28 years for bachelor's degree holders to apply for master's programs
• Maximum 33 years for master's degree holders to apply for doctoral programs
All students who have been admitted to the universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran based on the regulations for the admission of students from abroad and have graduated from the bachelor's, master's or doctoral programs according to the current regulations of the relevant level, are exempted from the age requirement if they apply for continuing their education in the same year of graduation.
